to Travel Travel Travel...

First and foremost, I'm Selina Ellis and this is my up and coming travel blog- Travel Travel Travel. I'm an England/ Wales border kid originally, my house is on the England side in Shropshire just 5 metres from Wales however, I am Welsh and I'd say my life was in Wales as that is where I went to school and used to work at the weekend. Since September 2013, I've been living in Edinburgh, Scotland, attending University here to read for my MChem in Chemistry.

I have a near-to-the-brink obsession with travel planning- particularly the route planning aspect which is what this blog will focus primarily on but it will also showcase some of my previous trips and my future ones too.

My main route-planning is done by the basic Google Maps engine but nevertheless, they do however do the job and with a thorough write-up, they compliment the itinerary perfectly . I back up my information with numerous internet webpages and my extensive collection of guidebooks- which have taken over my uni room!

Travels

Let's just start with the fact, I am still only 19 but that in no way means I'm inexperienced! I've been reading up on travel since I was at least 11, even at that age a good landscape got me! I've been able to name every European capital city since I was 7 and match every flag to it's country not too long after that. I beast that geography round in the pub quiz.

I undertook my first solo trip in January 2014 but before that I went on many ATC (Air Training Corps- I got to Flt Sgt) camps away- sometimes I was the only one from my squadron, and numerous ones with just my best friend. City or countryside, either way I'm hooked. There's something about being caught in the hectic lunch hour dash on Fleet Street, London but in no way can you ever compare that to the views you experience when driving down a single-laned road through the valleys of Snowdonia, Wales.

Every little place has it's charm, even if it's a city in the dreary 70's concrete architectural form, I bet you a small sum it's got heck of a community spirit in it! There is 195 countries in the World (196 if you inc Greenland), each one has it's charm and hidden gem that need's to be found. No matter what the medias opinion, I'm determined to develop my own interpretation of a country and its people. Well, that's just my philosophy on it all....

Thank you all for reading this, or maybe you just clicked on this link by accident, or to be nosey, nevertheless I presume to be reading just this sentence means you've probably endured reading the above, so whatever your purpose may be, I thank you!

Now to the blog, let Travel Travel Travel, begin...
